Neringa Barmute – IP and Commercialisation consultant, founder of Navigate IP. The aim of the company is to help research and technology-based companies use their IP to achieve their full potential and commercial success. Neringa helps researchers by analysing and evaluating their intellectual assets (inventions, patents & know-how), advising on navigating the patent landscape, preparing easily understandable marketing material from their complex scientific reports, and finding commercial partners.
Neringa holds MSc degree in Biology and has been working in IP since 2010. She has both industrial and academic IP management experience, having worked as a Commercialisation Executive at the University of Liverpool (throughout the range of different scientific and technical areas – physics, engineering, electronics, chemistry and biology), and as an IP manager in companies Oxford BioMedica (gene therapy) and Thermo Fisher Scientific (biotechnology projects). As a creative, enthusiastic person with an analytical mind she enjoys helping the inventors to apply their novel ideas in the industry.
Neringa is fluent in English and Lithuanian, she also speaks Portuguese and Russian.
Jurate Breimelyte – Legal consultant. Jurate is specialising in intellectual property (IP) law, Contract law, Personal data protection. She consults on IP infringements, protection and rights management, licensing of IP rights, protection of personal data. Jurate is also a specialist in contract drafting: IP licensing contracts, Non-disclosure agreements, Contracts of services. Jurate holds the Bachelor of Laws and LL. M. in International laws (Maastricht University).
In 2014 she was a trainee at the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) Boards of Appeal division. She was working in one of the biggest law firms in the Baltic states, later – in the Lithuanian State Patent Bureau Trade Marks and Designs Division and now is a director of IP consulting firm in Lithuania. Jurate Breimelyte has teaching experience in IP law, and is constantly attending World Intellectual Property Organisation’s (WIPO) courses, OHIM and European Patent Office’s organized trainings. She has finished WIPO general IP course and advanced course on IP management.
Jurate is fluent in English, Spanish and also speaks French and Russian
Navigate IP are collaborating with Idea Protection – an IP consultation company where patent attorneys and technical specialists advise in patent drafting, trademark and design protection questions. Patent drafting division helps companies and inventors to prepare and submit patent applications. The experts in the field develop a full package patent application, assist in filing and execute the application in various jurisdictions. Experts in Industrial design and Trademarks are assisting in evaluating the novelty of the design and distinctiveness of a mark. Idea Protection team is also preparing technical communication documents, such as user manuals, brochures, illustrative drawings. The legal division is preparing different IP related contracts, such as licensing agreements, transfers of rights, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
